making ball bounce diagonally and bounce off walls to make the game playable

When the ball dropped, I make the paddle to redirect on 15° sharply. However when it hit the wall it made the ball stuck like with the top tiles. when figuring out, my teacher finds another behaviour where it can bounce off the side walls from left to right. Which only goes down an angle when collided, then we angled it to 40° so it can bounce off when going up and down. After that, I make a few tweeks on the paddle movement and placement to match the speed of the ball when bounced. Also I made the blocks collided on the left and right to make it easy to complete. And that is how I finished making coding of this game.

How to make a single green block disappear and bounce on the tile block

When I test how the ball was going to hit the green block, it made all the blocks disappear and sticks up the tile which made it unplayable. However I managed to make the single block disappear when i change the "kill self" into "kill actor 2". When I changed the actor, I had to put a behaviour because it was impossible to make an event on the tiles. When I had help with behaviour where it effects the tiles, we managed to make the tiles bounce back, however it made the ball keep teleporting nonstop. So we decided to create a game attribute so the ball can bounce off the tile and hit the paddle. Next is how I managed to change the angle of the ball when it hits.

skill redirection from the green block and also making it disappear

I started with unnecessary behaviours from the event to make the action work. I put a similar code from the redirection of the paddle but reversed. I also then make the collision where ball hits green block it would disappear from the scene. However it not only make one green block disappear but all of the other blocks gone as well, and it collided with the tile screen where it stopped the ball.

game skill redirection

As the ball drops down the object collides with the paddle, however it makes a complete stop. It was tricky how to set up the redirect with the two actors colliding. Luckily I had some help with the event where it can bounce off from the screen, however when the ball touch the screen it made an error.

Next is where I make the ball redirect from green block and also making them disappear as well.

skills in stencyl how to move the player

I've been recreating the game "Breakout" from stencyl to learn new skills. One of the skills was moving the player. Where I make the player move horizontally on screen.

It works as if u were moving the player in a interactive experience. Next I'll be making ball drop from the start of the game.

stencyl making the ball drop

During my time in stencyl, I've been creating events for the ball to make it fall down where it collides with the paddle on screen. When trying to make it fall, I put update of updates when it is created on screen, I put the of motion on y speed where the object would fall down and collide with the paddle.

Next I'll be making the redirect from the paddle.

characters

I create characters from my book to get the idea of making sprites into my game by using piskel. I'll use the site to create a sprite that could be animated and used in stencyl.

careers networking plan

I made a networking report for my plan to get into the gaming industry. First I plan to go through work experience in 365 cup by contacting them on Facebook. I would join a online group to provide feedback when I am creating a game. Then I will start of a sort of kick starter on my game when it is polished and ready.

final project brief

I want to start my job in gaming industry, and also in the marketing my own product. I want to make something amazing games for the commercial area of audiences and create innovation to achieve accomplishment.

I'll be using to stencyl to help understand the creative structure of games and the knowledge to become successful in the future. It will the only engine to work with when starting on the design of a game.
